Well hello there. I’m Jon Fisco and this is my site TinyGrenade.

For a long time I’ve been into writing. I don’t know if at anytime I was, or will be, necessarily great in any capacity but sitting down with a blank slate and creating a story out of words has always fascinated me. Whether it’s fiction, a review of sorts, poems, prose, or just random mind-splatter writing is the one thing in my life that I can look to and say “yea, that ties it all together for me.” It’s my center, my focal point, my nirvana of sorts.  I created this site so that I continue to write and so that the pressure of this being public will, with any luck, enhance my ability to write coherently, concisely, and timely.  For a long time I wanted to write specifically about videogames.  I looked at sites like Gamespot, IGN, Giant Bomb, and others and said to myself “I can do that”. And while I’ve never been paid to write an article about a game I do write for darkstation.com which has taught me the ridiculousness that is timely review based writing.  To be honest, I love it. Having to write a review on a schedule is great and really leans into my style of on the fly off the cuff writing.  So I’m using Tiny Grenade to branch out, to see what else I can write about on a scheduled basis.  You’ll see posts about music, movies, books, and with any luck (if I can get over my shyness) some fiction based posts that will be just for fun.  Feel free to comment on what you like, dislike, enjoy, and hate. I started this site to keep a hobby, and perhaps a passion, alive and I’d be happy to have you along for the ride. So read a post here and there, tell a friend who’d be interested, and just take what I say with a grain of salt. I’m a college undergrad who’s figuring it out in a lightning fast manor, I don’t claim to know anything or be anyone of great importance so just sit back and pull the pin.
